Story of my stay in Sydney

Sydney City

What is my first impression when arrived in this city?. I love the sky! The view is so beautiful. Sometimes I spent my time walked around the city and just enjoying the blue sky. It is therapeutic for the soul who bored or exhausted after work a long day. Or you can just relax at the park, read a book, talk to the bird, or maybe just take a nap there. I have seen people just laying down on the grass and dreaming about life. But don't forget to keep your stuff near you or the bird can steal it. Hahaha.

The best time to visit the park is in the Spring season, around October to November. Some of the parks have Jacaranda trees.

Jacaranda is a magnificent shade tree with purple flowers. This attracts the tourist to come and take a picture with a beautiful background.

Make sure you get here when weekday because it will be packed with the crowd on the weekend. This spot is one of the famous streets to take a picture of Jacaranda. Of course, it will look better if you have a drone that able to get more angle of amazing shots.

One of the best places you have to visit in Sydney is, of course, Opera House. Your bucket list will never be completed if you don't visit or have a picture of this iconic architecture. For me, the best way to enjoy the view is by taking a ferry from Kirribilli to City. Believe me, you won't regret it.

Based on Wikipedia, The Sydney Harbour Bridge is an Australian heritage-listed steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour. The view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as an iconic image of Sydney, and of Australia itself.
The bridge is nicknamed "The Coathanger" because of its arch-based design. Guess what? you can feel an exciting experience at this bridge, which is Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. The cost is around $160. I never tried it though. Maybe someday before I go back to my country.

Other trip you can do is walking all along the bridge. We can get a full scenery of Opera House from this path.

Every New Year Eve, there is a Fireworks event that attracts many tourists. You can enjoy it from the city, but you need to come in early. I saw many people even bring a tent a night before to secure the spot for enjoying the show. 5 years ago, my friends asked me to join them to watch the show at Milsons Point, 10 minutes from the city by train. We can completely enjoy the view from here. But for me, maybe that is the first and last time I watched the show because I didn't like to go home late and waiting for train almost 1 hour.

Don't worry if you like fireworks, you still can come to the western side of Darling Harbour and enjoy the show. Before this Covid-19 occurred, there is regular fireworks show every Saturday night. The last info from the website said they will cancel it until 30 June 2020.

Darling Harbour offers lots of restaurants you can dine with the river view. This is the spot that I told you about fireworks every Saturday night or you might dine in at the famous Rock Cafe Restaurant in this area.

hi check out my video of city life at https://youtu.be/0XZi3Sp5UZA

I came here with working holiday visa, then extend with student visa. I stay here for 8 years, so sad when I need to go back to my country for family matter. But well, I really have a good memories in Australia.
While you in Australia, you could visit New Zealand too. It is easy to apply NZ visa from Australia than in Indonesia. That time I only submit financial report, current visa, visa application, flight ticket booking confirmation ( not necessary ), travel itinerary.
